Choose a club that makes all the right noises
Apparently, there are cracker companies who research the snap their crackers make when broken in half. Car makers research the most luxurious door-closing 'thunk'.
As for golf equipment, sound is even more important. Club engineers believe some 90% of our perception of feel is down to impact sound. Consequently, the biggest companies now use sophisticated computer programs to 'design' the acoustics of the clubheads you'll find in our shop, in a similar way to how they engineer performance.
Don't be too quick to dismiss the sound a club makes. It's hard to gain confidence with a muffled driver, or a clicky putter. A pleasing sound is of course a subjective thing, so the best way to find that good tone is to test a variety. Whether you need a booming driver or a buttery wedge, we have a great range of options - one of which will be sure to play the right tune for you. Click here to tell us what you are looking for.
